  • Product Overview

This product is a solvent-free, low-viscosity liquid organosilicon polymer. Its molecular structure contains crosslinkable active groups such as Si-H and allyl groups, which can be crosslinked and cured under mild conditions. The cured product can be converted into silicon carbide ceramics with high yield by pyrolysis under an inert atmosphere.

    Performance Characteristics

This liquid polycarbosilane has good fluidity and, as a silicon carbide ceramic precursor, has a high ceramic yield. It is especially suitable as a matrix resin for preparing silicon carbide ceramic matrix composites by the polymer impregnation pyrolysis (PIP) method. Its low viscosity and good moldability make it an excellent matrix resin for PIP processes, eliminating the need for solvents and significantly improving impregnation efficiency and shortening the process cycle compared to solid polycarbosilanes.
