Advantages of polyethylene wax in inks

2021-01-14

Polyethylene wax is a chemical material, the color is white small micro-beads / flakes, formed by the polymerization of ethylene rubber processing agent. It has a high melting point, high hardness, high gloss and white color. Polyethylene wax, also known as polymer wax referred to as polyethylene wax, is widely used for its excellent cold resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance. In normal production, polyethylene wax can be directly added to polyolefin processing as an additive. It can increase the translation and processing performance of the product, as a lubricant, polyethylene wax is chemically stable, good electrical properties; polyethylene wax and polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl wax, ethylene-propylene rubber, butyl rubber solubility is good, and it can improve the fluidity of polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, and the demolding of polymethyl methacrylate, polycarbonate. For PVC and other external lubricants compared to the polyethylene wax has a stronger internal lubrication effect

Ink is a homogeneous mixture of colored body (e.g. mostly pigments, dyes and other solid components), linker (vegetable oil, resin or water, solvent, i.e. liquid components in ink), filler, additives (plasticizer, desiccant, surfactant, dispersing agent) and other substances, the following is a brief introduction to what are the advantages of the application of polyethylene wax in ink?

Advantages of polyethylene wax application in printing ink:

1, add 1-3 percent of polyethylene wax in ink can change the fluidity of ink, reduce the viscosity of the system;

2、It can improve the abrasion resistance and scratch resistance of the ink, and improve the dispersion of pigment;

3、It can also improve the hydrophilicity, accelerate the fixation, and make the printing dot complete;

4、Polyethylene wax improves the printing performance of the ink;

5, polyethylene wax added in the ink can be dispersed through organic solvents, water emulsification, made of micronized wax with suitable particle size.
