Classification of Polyethylene Wax Usage

2021-01-17

Polyethylene wax can be widely used in various industries, the softening point of high melt viscosity low characteristics at room temperature has good moisture resistance. Polyethylene wax has chemical resistance electrical properties and wear-resistant and heat-resistant properties, according to the different manufacturing methods, polyethylene wax is divided into polymerization and cracking type two kinds, polymerization type polyethylene wax is generally made from polyethylene polymerization by-products, cracking type polyethylene can be obtained from the pure polyethylene resin or waste plastics cracking of the white long carbon chain, and with a branched chain of the solid hydrocarbon it is a very wide range of uses of the synthetic wax. In addition, polyethylene wax lubrication dispersion mobility is good, can be used in conjunction with coatings, paints, inks, etc. can produce matting, dispersion of light and smooth effect. Polyethylene wax and other kinds of wax and polyolefin resin have good compatibility, polyethylene wax after moderate oxidation, with a certain acid value that becomes oxidized polyethylene wax. Polyethylene wax should be widely used because of its excellent cold resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance, but in different application fields, the function of polyethylene wax is different, and its manufacturing methods are also done differently, the following is a brief introduction to the classification of the manufacturing methods of polyethylene wax what are they?

Classification of manufacturing methods of polyethylene wax:

1、Melting method: polyethylene wax is heated and melted with solvent under closed, high-pressure container, and then discharged under appropriate cooling conditions to obtain finished products. The disadvantage is that the quality is not easy to control, the operation cost is high and dangerous, at the same time some waxes are not suitable for this method.

2、Emulsification method: Fine and round particles of polyethylene wax can be obtained, which is suitable for aqueous system. However, the surfactant added will affect the water resistance of the coating film.

Dispersing method: Polyethylene wax is added into tree wax/solution and dispersed by ball mill, roller or other dispersing equipment. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to obtain high quality products and high cost.

4, micronization method: micronization can be used in the way of jet micronizer or micronizer / classifier production process, that is, the use of coarse wax in the high-speed state of intense collision with each other after the gradual fragmentation into particles, and then by the centrifugal centrifugal force, in the weightlessness of being blown out of the collection and get. This is currently the more widely used manufacturing method for polyethylene wax.
